Frosty Meadow Husky Farm, Fletcher, Ohio

About Us

Thanks for visiting!  We are the Kronenberger family, from Fletcher, Ohio, owners of Frosty Meadow Husky Farm.  Many years ago, we lived in a small ranch home, on ¼ acre in the City of Troy, Ohio.  We owned two dogs:  a beagle named Rose, and a mixed breed named Iris.  Rose was very content with a small property, but Iris, being a mix of Black Lab, Siberian Husky, and Timberwolf, was a VERY active dog.  We had a fenced back yard, but she frequently escaped, only to be captured by the local authorities.  At one point, we “fostered” a Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix (Lupen), and the same became true of her.  We found a good home for Lupen, but were ultimately encouraged by the authorities to admit Iris into the local shelter.  This was a sad day for the entire family.  We vowed to someday own a farm large enough to satisfy the active needs of dogs like Iris.  That goal was realized in 2007, when we purchased a 5 acre mini farm outside the rural community of Fletcher, OH.  In the summer of 2011, we re-located and upgraded to help us continue to expand.  We are located only about 3 miles from the old location, and the property is roughly the same size, but we feel the ability to expand is much greater!

Why Huskies?

After researching different dog breeds, we decided that we wanted to own a couple of Siberian Husky purebreds.  The more we learned about this breed, the more we loved them.  We decided to continue to increase the size of our pack, and learn the ins and outs of breeding and raising them.  We currently have 25.  Our facilities can handle more, but we have to continuously expand the kennel and play areas.  We have plans to continue to grow and educate as many as possible on this magnificent breed!
