Friday Flashback...Remember the Heat??

With the recent ongoing bitter cold, Today's "Friday Flashback" will focus on warmer (and in some cases HOTTER) times:

Pool pic #1...This was taken on one of the hottest days in the last decade.  A couple summers ago when it reach well into the 100's.  Demon was playing lifeguard watching over the others in the pool.


Last year, on the first day we opened the pool.

Tuesday Tech Talk -- Quick Bits

  • We were asked recently about the effectiveness of shots bought over the counter.  This person had been told that the shots at the vet are more effective.  This question had been asked before, so I figured I should give my thoughts here.  I should add that our vet concurs with these thoughts.  It is NOT the shot itself that is the problem.  It’s in the handling and administering.  First and foremost, the shot must be administered properly by someone trained to handle a needle.  Heather, be...

  • Back to blogging!  After an extremely long hiatus, I am getting back started with routine blogging.  It won’t be a daily thing, but hopefully it will be a few times per week.  We finally upgraded our computer.  One of the main reason I have been away from blogging was the fact that our laptop (and only) computer was not doing very well.  It didn’t get along with this website, and downloading Firefox (and others) proved to be challenging or not possible.  The only shot I had at blogging ...
