It's time for another "Cartoon Alter Ego."  Today Chance gets the nod.  Most of our readers know of the issues that Chance has had to deal with throughout his young life.  He is the son of Holly and Kallen, born 3-18-13.  He was one of 10, which is a very large litter.  Chance was born with a condition called a “Persistent Right Aortic Arch”.  Basically, this means his esophagus was wound with a band of tissue that prevented anything but liquids from going down.  Surgery was needed to correct the situation, but it also called for some fight in the puppy.  Chance has just that. 

Chance’s cartoon alter ego is Scrappy Doo.  Scrappy is a puppy, the nephew of Scooby Doo.  Like his uncle Scooby, Scrappy has a voracious appetite.  He will eat almost anything, anytime.  However, unlike uncle Scooby, Scrappy has no fears, and is ready to take on the world.  While Shaggy and Scooby are scared and run from the ghosts and goblins, Scrappy is always wanting to stay back and fight.

This fits Chance like a glove.  First of all, he has an endless appetite!  He is still on a limited diet as of this writing, and can only consume liquids and food that has been blended.  But he WANTS to, and WILL eat ANYTHING…NON-STOP!!  Also, like Scrappy, Chance is a fearless fighter.  He will not back down from anyone.  Nadia used to rule the household…not any more! 

At his young age, we will even let him out to play with the gang when they are all out.  We have to watch closely, because Scrappy…er…Chance will never back down and the ghosts…er…big dogs would win. 

It’s really a funny thing to watch, him and the way he barks at the dogs and any other animal reminds us of Scrappy’s famous line of “Let me at em!!”
