In today’s edition of “Cartoon Alter Ego”, I am writing
about Brutus, although it is difficult.
As most of you know, Brutus was a Frosty Meadow Favorite. We’ve mentioned many times that almost
everyone who came to the farm remarked on how beautiful and friendly he
was. Multiple times, when puppy buyers
would come to pick out their puppy, they would see Brutus and ask if they could
just buy him instead. Of course the
answer was always NO!!
Brutus was a very loving and even tempered Husky. He was a gentle giant. He was our only Husky to eclipse the 70 lb.
mark. Brutus truly craved the human
touch. Many times, he preferred to just
sit next to us and watch the others play.
As most of you know, Brutus passed away last November, due
to a digestive tract failure. He is
greatly missed.
Brutus’ Cartoon Alter Ego is Baloo, the big, friendly bear
from “The Jungle Book”. In the movie,
Baloo befriends Mowgli the orphan boy, and shows him how to live a care free
life. In the end, Baloo knows it’s best
to return Mowgli to the man-village, and Mowgli has a very hard time saying
goodbye.
It was very hard to say goodbye to Brutus. He is gone in body, but never in spirit. He is still the face of Frosty Meadow Farms,
and appears at the top of every page of this website along with Holly. His face is also the profile picture of the
Frosty Meadow Farms page on Facebook.
