In today’s edition of "Friday Focus", we will do a Cartoon Alter Ego.  This being another re-post about Demon.

From the very beginning, Demon has been tough to figure out.  He certainly hasn’t lived up to his name!  He has always had a very “standoffish” behavior.  Even as a puppy, Demon preferred to be off on his own, and rarely get involved in the running around with the others.  He would on occasion, but mostly he prefers to sit back and watch.  The only theory I can come up with is His brother Denali has always bullied him away.  Denali is bigger, and of course two males around the females always leads to a dominance issue.  While I believe Demon is a happy dog, I just think he is content with just being off in the background.

His Alter Ego is Eeyore.  One of my all-time favorites, Eeyore has always had the “sad sack, woe-is-me” mentality.  As he wanders around, if anyone stops to speak to him, he commonly states “Thanks for Noticing”

If Demon could talk, I am convinced that he would also regularly utter those words.

It doesn’t change how much we love him.  Sometimes I will give him a special treat that the others don’t get simply because he reminds me of the kid on the playground that’s always chosen last. :-(
