Welcome to the re-birth of our blog!  We are Frosty Meadow Husky Farm. 

Siberian Huskies are among the most beloved breeds of dog in existence.  Several years ago, after purchasing our first Huskies, we decided we would learn all we could about the breed, and breed them in a very responsible manner.  We have accomplished a lot of our goals, and have become one of the most recommended Husky Breeders in our region.  We accomplished this by simply caring for the Huskies we own, and more importantly, the Husky puppies we sell.  We still have a lot of goals, as our ceiling continues to grow. 

Our intent with this blog is to share with everyone the day to day experiences of owning Huskies, and to help educate everyone in the ins and outs of raising them.  We’ve experienced many things over the years, and we hope to share those experiences, and have some fun along the way! 

We also hope to learn from others!  Many experiences that others have had, or stories shared by others, we would love to hear about and post.  Husky owners are in a class by themselves.  As much as we have learned and experienced over the years, we cannot claim to know it all.  This is where you come in.  Our hope is that many of you can share a story or experience via email, and we will post it.  We will gladly give credit for the contribution, with or without names. (your choice)

Simply put, we hope to make this a community blog, for everyone to contribute and comment!

Various categories will include:

A)     Saturday Stories – Simply, stories shared from past experiences raising and/or breeding our Huskies.  No guarantees this will occur every Saturday, but when they occur it will be on Saturday.  J

B)      Sunday Funnies  – Short tidbits from day to day observances of the Huskies in their world and ours.  We hope to do this every week, but sometimes we might fill in with something different.

C)      Puppies  – This category will be for announcing the arrival or pending arrival of litters of puppies that will be available for sale.  Also, it will be for general announcements or discussions pertaining to individual litters.

D)     Cartoon Alter Ego’s  – This category is mostly for fun.  Over the years, I’ve noticed various personalities that our dogs have.  Not just generally speaking, but very specific.  Sometimes they are tough to explain.  Being long time fans of MANY cartoons, my son and I came up with this idea of comparing each dog to a cartoon counterpart.  Hopefully you will enjoy these as much as we have enjoyed coming up with them! 

E)      Frosty Meadow Happenings -- This category will include the basic day to day activities, announcements, and the “What’s going on in our World” write-ups.

F)      Tuesday Tech Talk -- Includes advice, ideas, and general “How-to’s” for raising Huskies or dogs in general.  This will be published on Tuesdays.  Any contributions here are welcome!

G)     Adding On -- For the purpose of expansion plans and project thoughts.

H)     New Additions -- When we have a new addition to the pack, be it in the form of a rescue or a puppy.

I)        Friday Focus – This category will highlight Huskies, one at a time.  A little about each one, and some of the history behind them.  This category includes our own, plus puppies that we have sold, and are in their new homes. Some days we might highlight them individually, and do a feature on them.  We hope to use stories and pictures contributed from the owners. (hint-hint) J

J)       General -- This will cover any Husky or farm related topic that isn’t covered by any other category.

K)      Monday Motivation -- Sometimes I get the urge to write something motivational or inspirational.  I will share my thoughts on Mondays in this category.

L)       Other -- Anything not related to the Huskies, Farm, or any other category not covered.  Who knows?  I could talk about just about anything occasionally!
