Wow...I need to shake the dust off this computer, and get back to the blog!
After some nasty sicknesses that rampaged through our home, it's finally "get back on track" time! Instead of the Sunday Funnies, today will be a simple update.
- Miya's puppies are coming up on four weeks old. They all have blue eyes, and are doing well. It's almost time for their vet visit, and also to start the weaning process.
- There are still two puppies available. One of the males, and the female. Oddly, even though there was only one female, it is one of the two remaining. Normally, they go a little quicker.
- Today was "Permethryn Bath" day. On Tuesday this week under "Tech Talk", I will re-post what will like be an annual post on fleas. This year, they are much more mild than last year, but we expected them since they were so prevalent last year. Overall, we did a good job of knocking them down last year, but since their eggs lay dormant all winter, it normally takes a few years to corral them all. In addition to their normal flea meds, Permethryn is used in a bath to provide additional ammo.
- In most cases, Frontline etc. work well, but in our case, we need the extra gusto. Whenever you have the number of animals that we have, it provides them many hosts, and the heat needs to be turned up.
- Insects, in any form, are the biggest reason I really don't mind winter!
- Early Autumn in Ohio....Still hot and muggy, and as of this writing, both the Browns and Bengals are losing. Ho hum!
