Daisie is really getting big!  Only another 10-14 days until the pups arrive.  Meanwhile, preparations are moving forward.  She certainly loves her accomodations, complete with a pair of heat lamps.  Huskies love the cold to be certain, but also like it when she has both warm and cold spots to use as she pleases.  It's critical the puppies are kept warm. Daisie would do a good job herself, but she needs to take a break from caring for them once in a while. They are born with minimal fur, and if not kept warm the first 2-3 weeks, could easily freeze to death. The heat lamps are perfect for the job!   I think the others get jealous of the expecting mothers.   Deluxe accomodations, extra helpings of their favorite meal (beef liver, beef heart), and overall extra atttention, make the others envious.  Oh well, they get their treats too, and they get to play more.  Expecting mothers only get to go on walks.
