Another very hot day, even though they kept promising lower temps and humidity.  Dogs were out as usual, but the activity is a little lower during the heat and humidity.  In addition to a few little items I picked up on between chores, I will add something this week I will call Sunday Snippets as part of the Sunday Funnies.  The Snippets will basically be pictures with captions or descriptions.  We have hundreds of pictures of our Huskies on file, and many times they depict the humorous side of their happy-go-lucky lives.
But first:
  • I am not certain what is more important...the nice cold water in the pool(s) or the newness of the pool.  We have our normal blue kiddie pool full of water and they are using it, but today I also put out a small green plastic box and filled it with water.  It measures only 1 ft. x 2 ft. x 5 in. deep, compared to the other pool that is 5 foot diameter and 8 inches deep.  They simply cannot get enough of the green box!  I had to fill it up several times!  The other pool was there for the taking, but for whatever reason the box got the nod from all!
  • Today, I mowed the lawn while they were out.  I was outside the fence, and they all, especially Kallen were having a good ol' time chasing me back and forth.  I have a zero turn that buzzes around at a pretty good speed, so that made it even more exciting!  They are easily impressed!
  • Of course the Huskies never cease to cause headaches.  Today, they decided it would be funny to chew through the wires to the central air compressor!  Nothing like coming in from a hot day and finding out that the AC is down and it's 85 in the house!  Luckily, I found the issue and repaired it.  I think Mr. Murphy had Huskies in mind when he developed his "law".
