It's April in Ohio...It's time to play weather roulette! Flooding rains and 60 degrees to sunny and 80 degrees to 24 degrees and an inch of snow. If nothing else, it's entertaining!
- Latest on Daisie's pups.....They are now 18 days old, and are opening their eyes. We are happy to report at this time that they all appear to be blue! As of this writing, Only the white males remain unsold. (as usual) We moved them down to the "growing up" stall to make room for Rose in the birthing stall.
- Speaking of Rose, still no puppies. Not just any day now, but any minute now! She is getting big! We could be on tap for back-to-back very large litters. Stay tuned!
- After this last (hopefully) blast of cold, we feel confident that it will be officially time to move the turkeys out of the house, and the ducks out of the garage. (Finally!) I think it will be worth it in the end, but I will go on record saying that having poultry grow up in our basement isn't fun. When they were tiny, it wasn't a big deal. But now that they are a foot tall, it is a challenge! They are a lot of work to contain, clean up after, and of course feed and water.
- Even if it does get cold for another brief period, I think they are all big enough to handle it.
- Everyone have a glorious Easter weekend!! He is Risen!!!!
