We here at Frosty Meadow Farms remember all of those who have served or are serving our country, and especially those who have fallen or have been injured protecting our freedoms.  As we celebrate with the typical cookouts and parties, we also take time to let the dogs have their fun.  It was a beautiful weekend here at the farm, and everyone enjoyed the outdoors. 

Here is a picture of the bloom of the poplar trees.  We have several here at the farm, and they are great to look at in the spring, and great shade trees in the summer!

On to the funnies…

  • The pool is out, as it has been for some time now, and the dogs of course spend a lot of time in it.  It’s funny to watch them try to squeeze 7-8 bodies into one small pool!
  • Nadia needs to time her jumps better when leaping into the pool.  She gets a running start and leaps into the air, and lands on the far side of the pool.  Simply crashes into the wall.  After several times, one would think she would learn.  But she seems too excited about the pool to care.

  • Aleu still thinks her pups are around here somewhere.  She has the separation anxiety worse than the others.

  • Someday, I would love to put a video camera on these dogs when they are out.  I would love to get some of these gems on camera!  Rose was rolling on the ground when Daisie walks up and steps over her with all four legs, then pauses, then reaches back with her back leg and kicks Rose upside the head!  Then walks away as if nothing happened.

  • Rose looked up as if to say, “What the ^&%#%???”

  • Aleu is joining Kallen and Rose in picking on poor Nadia.  C’mon guys…3 on 1??

  • Our trampoline is on its last leg.  One by one, the springs are popping off.  The mat is tearing at the rings, and we are now missing about 25% of them.  The frame and springs are still good, and the new mat will cost about $100. 

  • The dogs don’t care though.  They jump around on it and slide back off through the holes.

  • Rose has figured a new fun thing to do!  She realized that if you step on the side of the pool and flatten it, the water comes gushing out!  What fun!  Until she figures out that the pool doesn’t automatically refill itself, and I don’t plan on doing it either. 

  • And for the final picture, Here is Aleu and Holly balancing on the wood of Zach’s fort trying to get to the kitchen window to see and smell what’s cooking.  It was comical!
