·         Rose’s pups are getting chubby.  They are getting around well.  They like the warmth of the box with the heat lamp, but they also love to run around and play everywhere else too.  They will be 4 weeks on Wednesday, so in another week or so they will be weaned.   

·         Rose broke the heat lamp, and shorted out the entire barn.  Finding my way through the dark and solving the problem proved to be a fun task. L 

·         Aleu is really starting to toy with us.  Is she pregnant or not?  As of right now, we think yes.   She has had false pregnancies, and her only litter was small, so it’s hard to tell.  She and Denali mated within a few days of Holly and Kallen, but Holly is really showing well.  Holly is likely to have a large litter, whereas it’s possible Aleu may only 2-3.  Time will tell, but with a waiting list of people wanting all white or red and white puppies, it would be nice to know!

·         Nadia continues to grow.  I am getting more and more convinced that she will be at least 40 lbs, and maybe even full size.  That’s fine with us.

·         The weather forecast is showing signs of another blast of winter.   I am sure the dogs won’t mind.  Four-to-eight inches of snow. 

·         After that, warmer weather is on the way.  It will be a good time to let the puppies out to run around in the sun for a while.  That is one time we look forward to; their first real time to run and play outside.  It’s easier during the warmer months, but at 4-5 weeks, they now have enough fur to keep them warm in the colder months.
