Update Time!

After a week of not having a posted update, we are back this week. Lot’s going on!
- Nadia’s puppies are 7 ½ weeks old, and as of Saturday, the final pup will be in his new home. Once again, thanks to all who purchased puppies! A special thanks goes to Jeff and Jessica, who bought their second puppy! Bocephus, (Bo) joins Kenzee, who is happy to have a new chew toy…er…I mean playmate!
- Many people when picking up their new puppies, ask if it’s hard to see them go. We can honestly say that it gives us joy to see a happy puppy go to a happy home. Nothing against the adults, but it’s really special when the kids come along to pick up new puppy. The joy in their eyes is indescribeable!
- It’s back to normal time. Nadia can finally rest from the pups chasing her around, and she and Chance can claim their crate back at night!
- Puppy-wise, it’s a short resting period. Daisie is really starting to show. We expect her pups in the next 10-14 days. Rose still remains a mystery, so we will update her progress over the next few weeks.
- Next Tuesday, is the one year old birthday of Holly and Kallen’s litter from last year. This litter of course includes Chance. Someday soon, I will be posting a blog of “Our Journey with Chance”. Also in this litter was: Ares, Dee, Dyno, Nakita, Jax, Smokey, Ally, and two others.
- Next Saturday, (22nd) is the one year birthday of Aleu and Denali’s litter from last year. This litter includes: Mila, Hemlock, Tyberius, and Riley.
- Speaking of Birthday’s, A special shout out goes to our son Zach, who becomes a teenager tomorrow!! Love you bud!
- The last couple weeks have been very busy with the puppies, but we are also beginning Miami County Fair season. Seems odd to think about a late summer event in Early March, but now is the time for prepping. We attended the annual Quality Control seminar on the 1st, and we have also had a series of 4-H meetings. We (Zach) are moving to Turkeys this year, in addition to our ducks and chickens. Should be an experience. There is a lot more to learn, and therefore additional meetings. The baby turkeys and ducks arrive tomorrow! The chickens won’t arrive until June. Being still winter, the first few weeks of the turkeys and ducks lives will be spent in our basement, under a heat lamp. Wish us luck!!
