Miya’s puppies turn 6 weeks old today! They have been given their clean bill of
health by our vet, and will be receiving their shots over the next couple
days. They are fully weaned from Miya,
and are eating and drinking very well.
They are as cute and playful as can be!
Miya has done very well with the weaning. Some of the mothers do better than others,
and she is one of the better! Aleu, for
example, will whine and cry for days.
Chance went along on the vet visit with Miya’s puppies. No particular reason, other than so the vet
can see the progress, and advise on his future.
Everyone at the vet’s office knows Chance. He is a little ham!! Dr. Young has taken a special interest in him
because it was the first time she had performed this surgery. The good news to report is that she feels any
more surgery is not necessary since he is growing so well on his current
diet. Gradually, we are giving him small
amounts of solid food, and someday we will see if he grows out of it.
Of course, his neutering will take place soon, but this is
not a surgery that is a high risk like the other.
Recent Birthday:
Akira turned 5 yesterday! Also,
reaching 6 months this week was Aleu’s latest litter, which includes: Mila, Hemlock, Tyberius, and Riley.
This weekend is our 3rd annual Husky Family
Reunion! It will be on Saturday the 28th
at 2pm. We hope to get lots of pictures
of past puppies coming back to see their siblings and parents! We had a decent turnout last year, and hope
to improve on that this year.
