Milton has been delivered.I don’t officially think that Milton will be his name, but that’s what
the finders called him.Kyle, his new
owner, picked him up on Saturday.Seems
like a great fit.
It was great to see such an interest in Milton. It has been our hope to be a rescue farm in
addition to a breeder, and this is a step in that direction.
Things are moving back to normal, as we tend to day to day
life with eleven Huskies.There always
seem to be an issue with one or another. This week it’s Miya, who found an exposed screw and cut her paw
pad.Thankfully it did not require
stitches, but there is always the battle of the bandage. While we have heard the “cone of shame” has
worked for some, it simply has NEVER worked for us!We put the wrap and bandaging on…Miya takes it off…We put it on…Miya takes
it off…etc….etc….etc…
There is still very little sign of pregnancy with Aleu.As previously mentioned, she is always tough
to figure out.She does appear a little
thicker, but not yet to the point of being able to tell for certain. We should know something within the next two
weeks.
A while back, I mentioned that Rose was also a pregnancy possibility. At this time, she is not looking the part.If not, she should have her next litter
during the upcoming spring.
Mark it down…10-23-13…the season’s first snowfall.
Akira, Chance, and Nadia will get to enjoy
it, but unfortunately by the time I get home to let the others out it will
likely be gone.Better luck next time!
I do know one thing…It can’t snow and stick until they cut
our hay one last time!!!!! (*&%%^$@&*#!!!)
