• Miya’s puppies are now two weeks old.  They are starting to open their eyes, and get up on all four legs and walk around.  They are really cute at this point, watching them try to walk.  They are all well fed and doing well.
  • As of now, 4 males have been sold, with one male and one female still to go.  Click HERE to see pics!
  • Meanwhile, on the non-Husky front, the ducks from the fair are getting ready for processing on Saturday.  They were big ducks at the fair, but now they are like Thanksgiving turkeys.  Probably 20 lbs or so.  Our meat chickens will go in another couple weeks.   Then we pack up the cages for winter.
  • Next year, we begin planning for the fair early.  We decided to try our hand at turkeys.  We have to purchase the turkey chicks in February, and raise them for about 6 months.  Chickens are only about 6 weeks.  The biggest issue is the turkey chicks have to stay very warm.  Heat lamps are a vital part of their survival.  Some have told us that on the coldest nights, they brought them in the house during the nighttime hours.
  • We have also been told that they are among the dumbest animals on earth.  You literally have to train them to eat and drink!  This should be fun!  Luckily, we have a couple trusted advisors to help us answer questions.
  • Invitations are almost all out for the husky reunion.  There are a few that I don’t have an email, and I sent it through Facebook.  The invitation may have landed in your “other” box of your private messages.  If you are reading this, and have not received your invitation, please check your “other” box.  If not there, then please contact me at kronenbergerandrew@yahoo.com and I will email one out.
  • After a taste of fall, the summer heat has returned, and I am not sure the dogs like it.  (I know I don’t!) Fans and swimming pools aren’t enough, but they help.  I suppose they call these the “dog days” for a reason.
