Weekly update, back to Wednesday!

Before starting into this week’s update, I will be sure to mention that today is Heather’s birthday. Not only is Heather my beautiful wife, but also my best friend and business partner here at Frosty Meadow Farms. She handles a lot of the behind the scenes items that go unnoticed many times. Things like medical care, shots, pictures, and overall care for the dogs. She certainly provides the nurturing side that is vital for the overall happiness and comfort of the Huskies.
- We are still waiting on Daisie. She’s as big as can be, and could give birth at any moment now. Stay tuned! If you are on the waiting list for her litter, please be patient! The emails should arrive soon!
- As mentioned on the puppy page for AKC puppies, we can now more confidently announce that Rose (Kallen) is also expecting. We were only 50/50 before on certainty, but now it is 90%. We will keep the updates coming on her as well.
- Holly meanwhile, is keeping us guessing. She is expected to begin her final heat cycle any time now, and at that point we can more accurately predict the approach of her litter. Those of you on her litter’s waiting list, same thing goes. We appreciate your patience as Holly takes her own sweet time!
- We have now heard back on all the names of Nadia and Chance’s litter: Athena, Bocephus (Bo), Niko, Nanuck, Kato, and for the first time, we have a “junior”! One of the males was named Chance Jr.!
- Meanwhile, the baby ducks and turkeys are now two weeks old. They are all doing great, with the exception of one turkey who was bludgeoned last week. We were warned this could happen. Turkeys can get very aggressive toward each other and peck at each other when establishing dominance. Sometimes one gets pecked to the point of drawing blood, and then the rest dive in and, well, madness ensues.
- We went downstairs the other morning to feed them and refill their water, and found the ducks running around the basement! Those little critters are hard to catch! They found their way to the sump pump hole and had themselves a nice swim. Unfortunately, one of them got stuck. So we had to rescue him/her. Needless to say, it was time to reinforce their living quarters.
- Took this picture the other day of Nadia and Billy spending quality time with each other. Not sure they cared for the picture taking though.

- In looking ahead to birthdays next month, We celebrate Kallen’s 2nd birthday on the 8th, and Peyton and Denali’s only litter on the 10th. And yes, sandwiched in between on the 9th is mine. Not important though!
