Frosty Meadow Husky Farm, Fletcher, Ohio

Ember

Ember is from Holly’s final litter.  After 5 litters, (and 42 puppies!!) it was time for Holly to retire and pass the torch onto the next generation.  We decided that we wanted two females to continue Holly’s bloodline.  Denali is the father.   Holly’s puppies have long been popular, and we hope Iris and Ember continue this tradition.  Both have Mama’s appetite and love for food!

Ember looks just like her mother Holly.  Moreso than Iris.  She has the brown eyes and the defined black stripe down her nose.  She loves to play and bounce around the yard.  She gets along well with all of the dogs and fits in well.  She is on the smaller side for a husky, around 40 lbs.  Due to her size, she was only able to have one litter of puppies, and then was spayed.  We decided to keep her only female, Willow, who will now carry on Holly's bloodline.  Ember is enjoying retirement, and likes to play in the kiddie pool.  She wants to be an inside dog, and always does her best to stay in the house after being fed.  We are at our limit now, but maybe someday!  For now, we let her in for small periods to let her enjoy the dog beds.

Update 2017:  We decided that Ember shouldn't have any more puppies due to birthing complications, and she is now spayed and retired.  She is now living out her years here at the farm as a pet.
