Sampson
Sampson (Sam) came to us in December of 2017, already 2 years old. We were looking to expend on our males, and we found someone who was no longer able to care for their 2 year old. Since he was not neutered, we jumped at the opportunity. Sam's given AKC name is Blue Moon Kratos. We opted to name him Sampson, but since he had already sired a litter through his previous owner, AKC could not allow us to formally change his name. Therefore he is "affectionately known as" Sampson, and we call him Sam.
It took Sam some time to adjust to the farm and all of our Huskies. It helped that we also got an adult female (Vienna) at about the same time. They became best buds in no time.
Update 2-18-25 -- Sam is now retired and enjoying life on the farm. He has become the head alpha dog of the main pen. He is the only male in there, so he has the attitude that he is in charge. He really does tend to keep the others in line! It's actually pretty funny to watch! He has definitely become Andy's favorite!
