Willow
Willow is the daughter of Ember and Kallen, and the granddaughter of Holly and Denali. She is from Ember’s only litter. Ember had to have a C-section due to her labor not progressing. In her litter, she had 3 puppies, and Willow was the only female. We decided to keep her since Ember was spayed at the time of her C-section. We wanted to keep Holly’s bloodline going so it seemed like the right choice in keeping her. Willow is Holly’s granddaughter but does not look like her. We believe Willow will grow to be a full sized husky like Holly. Ember topped out at 40lbs.
Willow has a beautiful jet black coat with blue eyes. She is standoffish at times and has an almost evil looking glare. We often joke that she has the “evil genius” personality of Stewie Griffin from “Family Guy”. She loves the water and especially likes hanging out with Xander. She gets along with all of the dogs. She likes playing in the water trough. Willow loves digging holes in the backyard and laying in them. Usually if someone is digging a hole it is Willow. No yard is safe with her in it!
Update 2-18-25 -- Willow is now retired and is living out her life here on the farm. She is still the same old Willow, with her never wanting to "smile". With her retirement, we have officially ended the "Holly Line" in breeding. Also, with the deaths of Ember and Iris in the past year or so, Willow, along with Chance, remain our last 2 surviving from the "Holly Tree". Since Holly was our first Husky, it's something we've always paid attention to.
